Hi, the simple answer is, if everyone is betting using the exchange and not BSP, with bets scheduled and going on at exactly the same time, then yes of course this will affect the market liquidity on Betfair. Depending on the bet type, ie low odds would be less affected than a high odds with less money in the market for that horse, this will decide how much an influx of bets all asking for the same bet would affect it. I provided the free example betting systems encouraging people to tweak and make their own changes to the filters, to make the systems their own, as the systems are great out the box, but it they are very much open for improving. I've had loads of emails already from members informing me they have increased profits by changing MTP or one of the other many filters, or lowered drawdown and reduced overall risk, this increasing ROI. I provided them open ended with scope to make subtle or major adjustments, and make them better. Which means if everyone is making the systems their own, two things occur, they are less likely to be affected by a large influx trying to be matched on the same bet, as their system will be different, and the members using the free example systems out the box, have less people using them with no changes applied. I think for each system I have made available there is about another 30% to 50% profit and performance increase possible. Which completely removes the everyone betting all at once on the same horse issue of liquidity. My other automated bets I limit membership for that reason, but they are set in stone filters. Cheers Ryan
i have a yearly membership in place for the 14 systems and i would like to start off at £10.00 per bet and have £2000.00 placed into my account ready to start , can you please tell me if this is sufficiant for the likely drawdown risk .
Hi Steve, if you have all the systems loaded in your account head to the Portfolio tab. Enter 10 for all systems and click the green arrow. If you're just running the 14 systems your stats will appear, and give you the highest financial drawdown recorded using the systems, as well as the other stats. You can then decide if £2000 is enough with all the stats to help you make an informed decision. This is one of the main purposes for The Portfolio tab, and I show in the video how I enter stake using Portfolio. It is excellent at helping members decide how to set up your investment. Bear in mind liquidity changes and always allows for this. I'll add another video soon showing the Portfolio tab in more detail, and all UI functions. Let me know if you need anymore help with this.
Absolutely, thanks for the feedback. I'll re upload this video later today with the volume higher. My apologies, it was late when I recorded it and I should have double checked the levels.
For those that live outside the UK and need to pay 5% commision, is it possible for you to calculate and let us know what kind of profit we could make if any ?
I ask this, as I have seen before when systems that have a huge amount of bets actually have a huge difference in returns depending on the commision rate that needs to be paid on betfair.
Hi, you're absolutely right the extra commission across a lot of bets does have an impact. The software is set to just report at a UK 2% at the moment, but I'll put this to the developer to potentially add another calculation at 5% and see what he comes back with. Hopefully we can oblige. Watch this space.
Is hedger pro software on the web/cloud or would you need a vps to run it all the time?
Hi Ian, it's a website so always online via your browser. You do not need a VPS to operate it. Cheers, Ryan
Hi. Is it possible that any edge in the market will be eroded, the more people use the systems?
