The New vs Old Betting Systems
Dear Hedger Pro Community,
This update provides insights into the performance enhancements of our free example betting systems and announces the upcoming release of 17 new Version 2 systems for all members.

Performance Analysis of Current Systems:
The existing 14 free example betting systems, spanning approximately four years of data, demonstrate a positive Profit & Loss (P&L) when betting 1 point per bet. However, we identified areas for improvement, specifically:
High Average Odds: The average back and lay odds were deemed excessively high, introducing increased risk.
Drawdown Management: While the overall drawdown was 2.4% of the total points, the higher odds amplified potential risk.
Introducing Version 2 Systems:
To address these concerns, we developed 17 new Version 2 systems with the following enhancements:
Reduced Average Odds: Average back odds are reduced to approximately one-third, and lay odds to half of the original values. This targets a more liquid market segment.
Lower Drawdown: Drawdown is reduced to less than 1% of the total points.
Consistent Profitability: While the overall points profit has decreased, the systems still yield approximately +1898.50 points per annum, based on a four-year projection, betting 1 point per bet.
Increased Efficiency: The new systems prioritize higher yield and strike rates for both back and lay bets.
Reduced Volatility: Lower odds and a focus on higher liquidity markets minimize volatility.
Key Objectives and Methodology:
The primary objectives were to:
Improve overall system consistency and reduce risk.
Enhance efficiency through increased yield and reduced odds.
Increase strike rates for combined back and lay systems.
Provide realistic and rewarding performance metrics.
Provide a more accurate drawdown metric, using daily variances.
Show varying levels of system complexity.
We acknowledge the debate surrounding course inclusion and potential overfitting. However, we maintain that each course exhibits unique characteristics influenced by Hedger Pro’s extensive filter options.
The original 14 systems will still be available to download with the additional 17.
Member Empowerment and System Utilization:
We encourage members to utilize these systems as a foundation for developing personalized strategies using the Research tool. Hedger Pro is designed as a platform for system creation and automation, not solely as a system provider.
We also recognize that some members prefer a hands-off approach. Therefore, these systems are designed to facilitate portfolio construction and customization to individual preferences.
There will be content uploaded soon to help you get the most out of your own portfolio of bets, whether it be using our systems tweaked to your own personal betting financial goals, or using your own concepts and systems from scratch to create your own custom portfolio.
I know a lot of members are already doing this from what I can assess within our active Telegram user group, and to be fair these members certainly don’t need my new systems, as they have their own self created portfolio’s in operation. Which is truly great to see.
I certainly do not profess to be the almighty god of system creation within Hedger Pro, but I can certainly get a tune out of it, and that is what I hope some of you find useful with the systems myself and Alan share for members.
Release Timeline and Auto Bet V1.6:
Auto Bet V1.6, including the core functionality, is scheduled for release on Monday. I will post an update when it is officially updated to the software.
The 17 new Version 2 systems will be made available between Wednesday and Friday of next week, to allow for further optimization, plus I have another two potential systems that may be included.
All members, regardless of membership tier, will have access to all free example betting systems.

The new systems incorporate contributions from both myself and Alan, with a focus on maximizing profitability, stability, and performance.

Thank you very much appreciated. The backing options with the new systems are definitely more consistent, while the laying options target lower odds at a higher strike rate. It's a combination of adaptations of the originals, and some new ones. I'm hoping to add one or two more, but as it is everything is good enough to go. I just want a little more time to double check everything.

these version 2 systems look to be much more user friendly regarding consistency / strike rate and the drawdown is much better .
are these version 2 systems completely new ones or improved upon from the originals ?
i am only interested in the backing systems , how many are there likely to be in total ?
